Caitlin Michaela O’Hern and James Francis Burns IV were married March 10 at the Basilica of St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral in New York. The Rev. John Job, a Roman Catholic priest, performed the ceremony.

Mrs. Burns, 31, is an associate in the wealth management group of Allen & Company, an investment advisory firm in New York. She graduated from Boston College and received a law degree from the University of Virginia.

She is a daughter of Catherine P. O’Hern and James K. O’Hern of Morristown, N.J. The bride’s father is the executive director of member engagement at the Conference Board, a nonprofit business membership and research group in New York. Her mother is a lawyer at the New York law firm Clausen Miller.

Mr. Burns, also 31, works in East Rutherford, N.J., as the chief executive of Epta America, the exclusive representative of the 7Days food brand and distributor of its products in the United States; his father, Mr. Burns III, is the chairman of the company. The groom graduated from Hamilton College in Clinton, N.Y., and received an M.B.A. from Cornell.

He is also a son of Ligerie P. Burns; his parents live in Saddle River, N.J. The groom’s father is also a partner of Great Falls Consulting, a consultancy for product development of snack foods, in East Rutherford. The groom’s mother, a former lawyer in Morristown, is retired as the owner of an exercise studio that was in Ridgewood, N.J.

The couple met in April 2017 on the dating app Bumble.
