Caroline Bouchard Ervin and Dr. Errol Lloyd Gordon were married Jan. 5 at the Manhattan Marriage Bureau. Michael McSweeney, a staff member in the City Clerk’s Office, officiated.

The bride, 32, is a jewelry specialist at Christie’s, the Manhattan auction house, where she is also in the auctioneer training program. She graduated from Colorado College in Colorado Springs, and received a graduate degree in gemology from the Gemological Institute of America in Manhattan.

She is a daughter of Dr. Ann Schoenthaler-Ervin and Dr. Edmund D. Ervin of Waterville, Me. The bride’s father is an internist at the Maine General Medical Center in Waterville. Her mother is a psychologist in Waterville, Me.; she also sits on the State of Maine Advisory Board for School Psychology.

The groom, 41, is a neurointensivist at St. John Hospital in Tulsa, Okla., where he cares for patients in the neurology intensive care unit. He graduated from the City University of New York and received a medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn.

He is the son of Sadilyn L. Gordon and Errol L. Gordon Sr. of Brentwood, N.Y. The groom’s mother, who is retired, was a bookkeeper in Melville, N.Y., at Adecco, a staffing firm based in Zurich. The groom’s father retired as a dispatcher for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority in Manhattan.

The groom’s previous marriage ended in divorce.

The couple met online in 2016, and had their first date at the Asiate, a restaurant at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Manhattan.
