The 40th edition of the Kenya Communications Sports Association games (KECOSO) which will take place in Kisii County from 10th to 17th August this year received a major boost from local Insurance brokers, Minet Kenya through sponsorship of half a million Kenya shillings.
Speaking during a brief ceremony that took place at the Company’s headquarters in Nairobi, The CEO Sammy Muthui said the company identifies with efforts of KECOSO of promoting sports in Kenya and encouraging wellness among the members of staff through sports.
KECOSO General Secretary Omole Asiko said preparations for the games which will begin with a golf tournament at Kisii Golf Club on 27th of this month have already been completed.
KECOSO brings together the Ministry of Transport, Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development; Ministry Information, Communication and Technology and Infrastructure; and Ministry of Sports, Culture and the Arts, as well as Parastatals that fall under the three ministries that include Kenya Ports Authority, Postal Corporation of Kenya, Kenya Ferry Services, Kenya Film Classifications Board, Kenya Maritime Authority, Kenya Airports Authority, Communications Authority of Kenya, Kenya Civil Aviation Authority, National Transport and Safety Authority and Kenya Broadcasting Corporation.
