Police officers have raided a mansion at Kahawa Sukari Estate in Kiambu County and confiscated bhang worth 4.5 million Kenya shillings.
Two suspects were arrested in the operation following a tip off from the neighbors who suspected the occupants of the house were involved in illegal businesses.
Neighbors in the estate raised eye brows following loud noises during the day and at odd hours at night in addition to sighting of convoys of suspicious vehicles in and out of the compound and reported the suspicious activities to the police.
The tip-off is led police to raid of the home in Kahawa Sukari where they found 222 bales of cannabis sativa with an approximated value of 4.5 million Kenya shillings.

Kiambu County Police Commander Kiambu County, Adiel Nyange who led the operation warned citizens who are conducting illegal businesses in Kiambu County that the long arm of the law will catch up with them.
A Member of county Assembly representing Kahawa Sukari Ward, Livingstone Waiganjo thanked the public for working together with the police.
He at the same time called for enhancement of the Nyumba Kumi initiative to further curb crime
Two suspects arrested at the crime scene will be arraigned in court.
Separately, the National Authority for the Campaign against Alcohol and Drug Abuse, NACADA, has expressed its opposition to the ongoing push to legalize marijuana in the country.
According to NACADA’s Vincent Muasya alias ‘Chipukeezy’, the herb is an extremely harmful drug that has contributed to family breakups and rise of crime and social disorder.
Last year, Kibra MP, Ken Okoth gave a notice to introduce Marijuana Control Bill (2018) that seeks to decriminalize the use of marijuana and draw up regulations for growth and use of the herb.
NACADA says the bill should not see the light of day adding that debate on whether to legalize the weed or not is ill-informed.
Addressing a group of students from Uwezo College in Machakos, NACADA director Vincent Muasya charged that the country should not yield to pressure from western states on the need to legalize the hard drug.
Chipukeezy is proposing that the state should consider imposing high taxes on alcohol and other intoxicating substances like miraa to discourage their use or abuse.
