Welcome to December in Stockholm! We can hardly believe that 2019 is wrapping up. Make these last days count: check off your Christmas shopping, see those exhibits you promised yourself you would get to, and make the time to get cozy underneath a blanket with a mug of glögg. We have found a wide variety of seasonal events for you to experience; some traditional, some wintery, some with a unique twist, and some just plain ole fun!

Sunday 1st December

Venture to Lidingö for the day, and shop for cheese, lambskins, crafts, and more. The kids can go pony riding, and everyone can visit the animals of the farm. Maybe Santa will even stop by!

Concrete panels can evoke a wide range of feelings. Recently, concrete can be quite sleek; not too long ago, concrete panels would have been regarded as ugly; and even before that, seeing concrete panels being lifted into the air was a positive sight, because it meant more housing was being built during a time of shortage. The free exhibit, Flying Panels, explores the history of concrete in architecture, and the effects it has had on culture (think toys, operas, and more).
