We live in a blessed time where anyone can read a book and think “This should be a Netflix movie.” Jennifer Niven’s bestselling All the Bright Places is the latest stirring young adult novel to join the Netflix library with an adaptation starring Elle Fanning and Justice Smith.
Fanning plays Violet, who struggles to return to everyday life after the sudden death of her sister when Finch (Smith) coaxes her back into the world. Of course, Finch’s life isn’t without its own complications, and the two must help and heal each other as they fall in love and fight their demons.
Niven co-wrote the screenplay with Liz Hannah, and Hearts Beat Loud‘s Brett Haley directs (Haley recently helmed an episode of Hulu’s Looking For Alaska).
All the Bright Places premieres on Netflix Feb. 28.
