Reconnecting during a weekend trip with friends in Toronto, the sparks began to fly between them – remaining inseparable ever since. When the time came to take their relationship to the next level, Hernandez found the perfect proposal opportunity during a gondola ride in Venice, Italy. How did you meet? We met in high school. We had a class together. Years went by and we reconnected during All-Star weekend in Toronto on a trip with mutual friends.
Tell us about the proposal. Dez proposed to me on a gondola in a small canal in Venice, Italy. His extra special proposal was almost ruined due to a rain shower, but God saw fit for it to happen. I was in shock!
Describe your engagement session. We wanted a very elegant and classy photoshoot.
What did you do on your first date? On our first date, we went to Ricardo’s steakhouse in Harlem.
What is your favorite thing to do as a couple? Travel, but mostly takeout and relax at home watching movies.
How has wedding planning been so far? Some good and stressful days but overall enjoyable.
Tell us what you’re looking forward to on the wedding day. Confessing our love with our family and close friends.
